Ronald F. Middlebrook, S.E. (retired)
Ron Middlebrook has built at M+L one of the Bay Areas
strongest, most capable structural engineering firms.
During most of the 1970s, Ron worked with the pioneering a/e/c
firm of Caudill Rowlett Scott. Ron managed the structural engineering
department at the CRS home office in Houston. Later he served
as Director of Technology at CRS/New York, where he oversaw
engineering design and production, as well as architectural
production.
The next 18 years were spent with Los Angeles-based John A. Martin & Associates. Ron played a leadership role in their Washington, D.C. office, and took the helm of their San Francisco Bay Area office in 1983. Eleven years later that office became Middlebrook + Louie.
Ron's projects at M+L include several landmarks among them:
the Yerba
Buena Marriott Hotel, expansions
of Moscone
Center, and the James H. Clark Center at Stanford University.
Ron is a past Director of the Structural Engineers Association
of California (SEAOC), and a Past President of its Northern
body (SEAONC).
