Ronald F. Middlebrook, S.E.
(retired)

Ron Middlebrook has built at M+L one of the Bay Area’s strongest, most capable structural engineering firms.

During most of the 1970s, Ron worked with the pioneering a/e/c firm of Caudill Rowlett Scott. Ron managed the structural engineering department at the CRS home office in Houston. Later he served as Director of Technology at CRS/New York, where he oversaw engineering design and production, as well as architectural production.

The next 18 years were spent with Los Angeles-based John A. Martin & Associates. Ron played a leadership role in their Washington, D.C. office, and took the helm of their San Francisco Bay Area office in 1983. Eleven years later that office became Middlebrook + Louie.

Ron's projects at M+L include several landmarks among them: the Yerba Buena Marriott Hotel, expansions of Moscone Center, and the James H. Clark Center at Stanford University.

Ron is a past Director of the Structural Engineers Association of California (SEAOC), and a Past President of its Northern body (SEAONC).
