Clark Center is a 3-story interdisciplinary research and teaching complex for innovative applications of bioscience, physical science and engineering. It opened in 2003.
The 225,000 sf facility consists of 3 "pods" of open labs. Each pod’s labs face a large oval courtyard. A series of pedestrian bridges at each level connects the pods.
Clark Center was named 2004 "Lab of the Year" by R&D Magazine. Our structural design won a National Engineering Award of Excellence from the American Institute of Steel Construction, as well as an Excellence in Structural Engineering Award from the Structural Engineers Association of Northern California. |
