Ronald F. Middlebrook, S.E. (Retired)
Ron Middlebrook has built at M+L one of the Bay Areas
strongest, most capable structural engineering firms.
During most of the 1970s, Ron worked with the pioneering a/e/c
firm of Caudill Rowlett Scott. Ron managed the structural engineering
department at the CRS home office in Houston. Later he served
as Director of Technology at CRS/New York, where he oversaw
engineering design and production, as well as architectural
production.
Ron then spent 18 years with the Los Angeles-based Martin Associates
Group. He played a leadership role in the Groups Washington,
DC office, before heading to San Francisco in 1983 to head their
Bay Area office. In 1994, this office became Middlebrook + Louie.
At M+L, Rons projects include several landmark buildings:
the Yerba
Buena Marriott Hotel, the rooftop and underground expansions
of Moscone
Center, and San Joses Fairmont Hotel.
Ron is a past Director of the Structural Engineers Association
of California (SEAOC), and a Past President of its Northern
body (SEAONC).
